FROM BEVERLY: Thanks for the well-wishes Ted. Yes, I definitely intend to visit Angkor Wat! I’ll probably stop in Cambodia on my way from Thailand to Vietnam in November. I have heard that the Angkor Temples are not to be missed. Looking forward to that part of the adventure. Thanks so much for the tip.

You are going to love Ubud but do yourself a favor and don’t feed the monkeys in the monkey forest - they are quite aggressive LOL
I also recommend the Laos border of Northern Thailand along the Mei Kong River - beautiful river gorge and great shopping ! Got some wonderful fabric last time I was there. Watch out for the Karen guerillas - really - they exist LOL
Have a wonderful adventure and I’ll keep reading to see where you have found yourself
FROM BEVERLY: Thanks for the tips Karen. I’ll keep you updated about all the monkeys and guerillas that I encounter … or don’t!

Hola Chica,
I’m extremely jealous. Please be careful, but at the same time have reckless wicked fun. I’ll be keeping my eye on you and if you have any strange fungi or unknown growths about your body, feel free to send me a photo for internet diagnosis. Well, as my favorite stooge Curly used to say, “Bon Voyagee!” Stay in touch-T.
FROM BEVERLY: Hey Tony! Thanks for the note. “Reckless wicked fun” sounds like a great advice … although I promise to be careful too.

Beverly - It was great to see you before you left on your grand adventure! Can’t wait to live vicariously through your reports. Have fun and be safe - Sid
I hope you could consider visiting the Philippines more than your layover time of less than 24 hrs. as there are many more to see of our 7,107 islands.
Just in case you will find time, I can help you with everything you need to know to have a memorable trip in my country.
FROM BEVERLY: Hey Carlo. Thanks so much for your kind and generous offer. I hope I will have time to revisit the Philippines and spend more time. If so, I will definitely be in touch. Thanks again!

Hello! I work for Kathy Frey and she mentioned you and talked about how you did this wonderful thing by traveling 7 months to Southeast Asia! And….I’m certainly not doing 7 months, but I am doing 4 weeks in Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. (Possibly Singapore) I’ve been kinda terrified because I know no soul there and Kathy definitely rested my fears. If there’s any way to talk more to you about it, I would greatly appreciate it! I will be there November 25th to December 22nd. My email address is blulzrd@hotmail.com. Any advice would be welcomed! Oh, and I’ve been lovvvvinggg reading your blog - so much inspiration!
FROM BEVERLY: Hey Kate. Thanks for the comments. I just sent you a personal email about your trip.

FROM BEVERLY: Hey Shelly. Great to hear from you. Yes, every day is an adventure of some sort and I’m just so appreciative for the experiences. Hope you guys have a lovely Christmas as well and that your boys get their wish … !
Hi Beverly,
Thanks for mentioning my book. It never ceases to amaze me, these bikes.
Hans
FROM BEVERLY: Yes, Hans, the bikes are truly amazing as is the ingenuity to use them in these inventful ways. I’ve enjoyed your book very much. Thanks for checking out my blog.
I arrived in Vietnam on December 12 from Cambodia. In the meantime, I have purchased a motorbike and, on December 22, began a 4 week motorbike tour of the country. From December 22 - January 3, I will be touring the northernmost section of the country including Sa Pa - likely without much in the way of internet connections. After completing my tour of Vietnam, I will return to Cambodia to work on the photography project with the children at the Stung Meanchey dump. This will give me the time I need to solidify some brainstorming for that project ... and to explore another country before I come home. So for now ... good morning, Vietnam!
