You are going to love Ubud but do yourself a favor and don’t feed the monkeys in the monkey forest - they are quite aggressive LOL
I also recommend the Laos border of Northern Thailand along the Mei Kong River - beautiful river gorge and great shopping ! Got some wonderful fabric last time I was there. Watch out for the Karen guerillas - really - they exist LOL

Hello! I work for Kathy Frey and she mentioned you and talked about how you did this wonderful thing by traveling 7 months to Southeast Asia! And….I’m certainly not doing 7 months, but I am doing 4 weeks in Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. (Possibly Singapore) I’ve been kinda terrified because I know no soul there and Kathy definitely rested my fears. If there’s any way to talk more to you about it, I would greatly appreciate it!
